It has been introduced a lot through games and other eastern cultural things like movies and animation too. But originally I don't recall it being something you'd speak of in western religion or spiritual aspects... unless it's voodoo of sorts"

妖魔的瘴氣（無差別，碰到就會生病倒楣之類）是東方的文化，西方的鬼怪要是有傷人的意圖，會更有針對性，像是刀子飛起來射出去吧。
